On Thursday 20th June Sara Qaed led a discussion to explore ‘how to talk to children in schools about Palestine’.

Sara’s guest speakers included Dr Rima Hussein and Kamilia Akasha who described their personal experiences of Palestine and life as Palestinian people living in the UK, answering questions about their personal histories and journeys in education. We discussed methods of introducing children to Palestine both in terms of its history and in the current devastating conflict.

There were many moving accounts and heartfelt testimonies as well as constructive and creative approaches to leading learning conversations within educational and home contexts.
