Artist Meet Up Four

On 6th October 2023 MOTHEROTHER met at The Auxiliary Project Space for a special event as part of The Middlesbrough Art Week. Rumana Yasmin of BokBok Books led the conversation between artists Sarah Maple and Nic Goliglightly exploring the work and lives of artist parents and carers, with a focus upon the UNSEEN. Often when we take on a caring role or become a parent we disappear - othered by our new responsibilities which seem to consume who we once were - we become redefined and measured by a society still entrenched in heavily bias institutional stuctures.
